Suffolk Regional Off Track Betting Corporation (Suffolk OTB) is pleased to announce that Long Island Cares Inc., The Harry Chapin Food Bank has been chosen as the recipient of two recent fundraising efforts.
The first effort entailed a food drive at several Suffolk OTB locations, including the Hauppauge Racing Forum. Several overflowing barrels of non-perishable food items were donated to Long Island Cares Inc., The Harry Chapin Food Bank as a result of the generosity of Suffolk OTB patrons and staff.
The second fundraising event was the 10th Annual Suffolk OTB Golf Outing, where OTB employees chose Long Island Cares Inc. as one of the charities to receive a $4,000 share of the proceeds raised.
