Suffolk OTB Helps The Belmont Child Care Association, Inc.
Suffolk Regional Off-Track Betting Corporation (Suffolk OTB) recently donated $6,000 to the Belmont Child Care Association, Inc., (BCCA) as a result of their Annual Suffolk Golf Outing, where Suffolk OTB employees chose BCCA as one of the charities to receive a share of the proceeds raised.
The sole goal of BCCA is to care for children of the employees who spend their lives caring for the horses at Belmont. As thousands of spectators make their way in and out of Belmont’s gates, people known as the “backstretch workers” take care of the horses while BCCA take care of the workers’ children.
Suffolk Regional Off-Track Betting Corporation is a public benefit corporation that prides itself on their community-friendly branches and ongoing support to various not-for-profit organizations serving the residents of Suffolk County. Suffolk County has received nearly $200 million from Suffolk OTB revenues since its creation in 1975. Suffolk OTB currently operates 14 branches, and offers Qwik Bet wagering at four locations.
